Lamar Denver O’Hern

Lamar Denver O’Hern, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born in Paulding County on March 29, 1939 and was the 2nd of 6 children (2 boys and 4 girls) to the late Gene and Armontine O’Hern who were lovingly known as Mama and Papa O’Hern to all.

He was married to the love of his life; Winnie Lou Nix for 39 years. She passed away in 2001 leaving a big void in his life, but he never slowed down and never gave up. Lamar was an Army veteran.

Lamar’s career consisted of  co-ownership with O’Hern Contractors, and later becoming a union member in carpentry. He was a talented mechanic as well. Lamar along with his brother enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles and their personal airplane. Later on they discovered they preferred wheels on the ground over the ones in the sky.

Lamar along with his son Mark became avid collectors of antique Chevy trucks. In his retirement years, he loved attending car/truck shows and swap meets. This was his social life and he was well loved by all that knew him. He was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia and attended faithfully until his recent move to Alabama.

He was a man of few words, but his love of family extended beyond what was explainable. Lamar was one of the healthiest 86 year olds you would ever meet. He walked briskly 6 miles a day, no blood pressure issues or heart conditions. His motto was “never give up and never slow down”.

Survivors include his children, Michael and Angie O’Hern, Melinda and Tim Ward and Mark and Malinda O’Hern; his siblings, Carolyn Simpson, Jimmy O’Hern, Pat and Jerry Thompson, Chris and Clyde Crofts and Mary Ann Williams; grandchildren, Amber(Jeremiah) Wheatley, Caleb O’Hern, Christopher (Ashley) Ward, Shane (Jessi) Ward, Bethany O’Hern and Steven O’Hern; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia. The interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the service time.

Bellamy Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Lamar O’Hern.

Debrah I. Pirinelli (Gaines)

Debrah I. Pirinelli (Gaines) 74, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away on October 3, 2025 after a long fought battle with Cancer. She lived for her family and made all of their days beautiful. She survived by her loving husband Christopher Pirinelli of 35 years and her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Matthew Nunn and their two daughters Jessica Kallen Williams (Nunn), wife of Lucas Williams and Kennedy Melissa Nunn.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1951, she was the loving daughter of the late John D. and Grace Gaines (U’ren), who were very proud of her. She was the only sister to brothers, Doug (recently passed away in 2024), Roger, and Rick Gaines. She grew up in the Town of Niagara and was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School.

After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart the late Kenneth Fiegel. Her daughter, Kristen Michelle was born in 1974. Three years later, Kenny’s life ended unexpectedly leaving her to become a strong, hard working, amazing single parent. She then went on to further her education by obtaining an Associates Degree in Accounting from Niagara County Community College, in Sanborn, NY. She enjoyed working in accounting as a bookkeeper and excelled professionally.

In 1990, Deb fell in love and married Christopher Pirinelli. Shortly thereafter they moved their family to Georgia and began the next phase of their happily ever after. Debrah’s most cherished moments were spent surrounded by family and friends. She was most proud of being an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her joy, and she spent all of her days with them enriching their lives.

She loved cooking for her family and hosting gatherings in her beautiful home in Dallas, Georgia. She was spontaneous and loved traveling to new destinations with family and friends. She especially loved spending time at Walt Disney World with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, several times a year. Being the first one there and the last to leave, she brought joy and happiness to everyone she encountered. When not traveling, she was most content at home with her husband and her beloved dog Sammy enjoying the weather, pool, and BBQ with family and friends. She also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, god-daughters, and good friends all of whom will miss her greatly.

As a devout Christian, her faith was all encompassing. She attended Bethany Christian Church with her husband and family. Her love of the Lord and beautiful, kind spirit was felt by everyone she encountered. Her radiant smile was contagious. She was a selfless caring soul who always wanted to help those around her whether she knew them or not.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be be held in the Sam Clark Chapel on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Wayne Strickland officiating.
