Get ready to celebrate America’s 250th birthday just a few days ahead of time as the City of Hiram hosts their Independence Day celebration.
Their Red, White & Boom event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 from 4:30 to 10 p.m. at Gray’s Mill Park. The event is free, but expect food trucks on-site for the evening of family fun for the community celebration.
Along with free activities for youth in the park, there’s a community soccer-viewing event planned for 250th birthday party, and fireworks after dark.
Since it will be a crowded event, no pets are allowed.
Officials planning the event noted that no coolers or outside alcohol will be allowed during the event, and that includes the parking areas.
All visitors are subject to search.
Sponsors for the event include Coosa Valley Credit Union, Big Dan’s Car Wash, Greystone Power, InterDev, Hard Family Automotive and Contractors of West Georgia.
Gray’s Mill Park is located at 76 Seaboard St., Hiram.
