The Paulding County School District provided an update on what will be the 20th elementary school, soon to be open for students next door to an existing campus.
Crossroads Elementary School will open its doors for the 2026-27 school year per the PCSD social media post added on Tuesday. The campus is already moving toward being dried in to allow for the work needed to complete the interior and exterior of the new school to finish.
Nebo Elementary School principal Dr. Rodney Wilkerson will be heading the leadership team at the new school on Timberwolf Drive starting with the new school year. The district named him the new principal back in November.

He took a tour of the school on Tuesday, December 16 as crews continue to get the building ready for the coming school year and got a sense with the help of contractors of where classrooms, offices, cafeteria and gymnasium spaces will be when the project is completed.
Crossroads Elementary will be the 45th campus added to the Paulding County School District when it opens for students in August 2026 in the Acworth area around North Paulding.
