County’s Star-Spangled Celebration coming up on July 3

Family-friendly event brings live music, iconic movie for America’s birthday

Paulding County is set to celebrate July 4th with a family-friendly event set ahead of Independence Day for America’s 250th birthday.

Veterans Park will be hosting the event on Friday, July 3 starting at 5:30 p.m.

There’s a Kids Celebration Station starting at 5:30 p.m. at Veterans Park, and food trucks will be on-hand for the event as well.

Chuck Martin and the Line-Up will be playing at 7:30 p.m. through the evening until sundown when a movie will be playing. Families can enjoy “The Sandlot” to round out the patriotic celebration.

Kona Ice, Brooks Bazaar, Kai Time and Smokin’ D’s will be at the park, along with Honey’s Henna and Face Paint, Paulding Cops for Kids and more.

Sponsors include Hardy Family Automotive Group, Croy, Magnum, LGE Community Credit Union, Greystone Power, Wing, and more.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the free event.

There are no pets or alcohol allowed.
