Hiram Elementary School students were recognized for their positive impact in school at the latest meeting for local officials.
The Hiram City Council recognized a student from each grade level during their work session on October 28 as Mayor Moran and Councilmembers proudly recognized the group for a variety of positive traits including “their kindness, leadership, and commitment to making their school and community a better place.”
Hiram Elementary noted that Kindergarten student Amelia Vandover, first grader Julianna Jordan, Zion Okeyo representing the second grade, third grader Maya Nathan, fourth grade student Theodore Rivers, and Marlon Taliaferro in fifth grade as the October Outstanding Citizens.
The Hiram City Council meets for work sessions on the fourth Tuesday of each month, and then holds their regular session on the first Tuesday of each month.
