Rev. Young had a passion for sharing the Gospel of Christ and winning the lost to know Jesus. He ministered to people and met them where they were and cared for their needs. His favorite Bible verse was, “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

He always had a smile on his face and faced life with joy in his heart. Some of his interests over the years included tinkering with cars, fixing anything, bowling, boating, and card games, but most of all spending time with his daughters and their families.

Rev. Young is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 52 years, Carolyn Collins Young; his second wife of 17 years, Christine Cochran Young; and his three sisters and two brothers.
